I’m having trouble picking a diamond around the 10k mark, 1.5ct.
Is it important to get the “ideal” proportion filter available on this website? Would the SI1s be eye-clean?
I have a couple short listed like below.
Thanks for your help!
For JA, I estimate ideal proportions and symmetry are using computer vision. For most searches it’s a good, safe filter, but it does produce false negatives (i.e. misses diamonds that have AGS 0 Ideal proportions). If I run a custom query on my backend and tweak the threshold for calling a diamond “ideal” to expand the pool of 1.5ct options ~$10k, then I find the diamonds below. If you pull their grading reports, they are all GIA EX/AGS 0 Ideal. They are cleaner VS2’s and they reduce the fluorescence to faint, so you might consider them as alternatives to your list.
It’s harder to find eye-clean SI1’s as the carat size increases. I didn’t see any SI1’s that I liked in their current inventory, but they do exist in general.
