hey Joe
Same poster as before about the H&A Cushions, it wouldn’t let me post again so I just did a new thread haha.
Yes I thought the same thing about it not looking square due to the dimensions but after a bit of research I found its because Brian Gavin have their Cushion diamonds measured only once from side to side and the other larger dimension is actually corner to corner which is different to how everyone else does it. So they actually are square the report just doesn’t show it that way haha.
just out of curiosity what made you decide the .946 will be more brilliant? (I actually have this on hold at the moment) but I have been second guessing weather to go the other one just for a touch more size? The James Allan one does look good and definitely a lot cheaper, but brian gavin does do the best H&A cushions out there haha.
The most obvious visual clue is the fact that the arrows aren’t all visible for the H in the face-up photo. If you’re buying a H&A diamond, then you should see all of the arrows. That’s corroborated by the ASET, which shows a lot more green for the H. However, I think you can tell just from the face-up photo that something is not quite perfect about it. That’s why I don’t think it’s worth paying the BG branding premium if you can find a similar stone of the same cut quality.
